Try to interpret this one from its title! JK thats impossible because I'm talking about a couple different ideas. Maybe you guessed them both. If anyone could guess both, its you. K well im talking about 1. I noticed that my page contains two phrases containing "not so" which is pretty rare considering I almost never say that. And 2. I'm begginning to see how amazing you are. and not just like oh yeah I can't belive you got shot, thats amazing! like jaw dropping, blank staring, leg failing, pupil size changing, lack of breath amazement. Now picture all that at the same time. Yikes. If anything were to happen to me I'm sure you could save me though. So I suppose my legs can fail all they want. I started this before we took this ^ picture but i still had to add it because it makes me go crazy here just thinking about it. But I still get to text you which is sooo good. because if I wasnt texting you I would be dying. I dont think people who dont write blogs realize how much time and effort even goes into them until they actually do one themself. Because, I watch you try to describe it sometimes over your blog and sometimes to me and i never understood how much work goes into yours especially. I have time into this one than i do on my homework :) and It's not going to look as remotly good as yours do. And my writing isnt as good. But ya mine are pretty much completly random. Don't you like how this has nothing to do with my title? I can't even say oh but it does and then show you how it does, I'm just going to change the subject. Dammit baby you just teleported me to mexico again... How can i save you from fat bastard when im here? I have enough problems trying to get back across the border.. Thank god i look like the whitest person alive.
Feel like analyzing some lyrics? Good cause I do too. Red Sky by Thrice
I know what lies beneath, I've seen the flash of teeth.
Conspiring with the reef to sink our ship.
The wind's a cheating wife, her tongue a thirsty knife.
And she could take your life with one good kiss.
Can you see the sky turn red?
As morning's light breaks over me,
Know tonight we'll make our bed
at the bottom of the sea.
I know the ocean speaks, I've heard her call to me.
And smiling in my dreams she whispers this
(The stars retreat behind their veil.
The clouds are clinging to your sail.
The storm is coming can you see?)
Can you see the sky turn red?
As morning's light breaks over me,
Know tonight we'll make our bed
at the bottom of the sea.
Look and see the sky turn red.
Like blood it covers over me.
And soon the sea shall give up her dead.
We'll raise an empire from the bottom of the sea
The first stanza I can actually picture a dark night with almost no cloud cover in the moonlit sky. I see a ship full of strong but helpless men trying to navigate through the ocean. The man narrating somehow knows what awaits them beneath the surface and realizes that they can't do anything about it. He tells nobody on the ship. So the reef tears into their ship with the help of the crisp but slow breeze. As soon as they touch the water they are as good as dead whether they know it or not. The sea had to let one live though, to tell the tale. But the sea will eventually take him also, and the survivor knows it. To escape the sea would be to destroy it and something as great as this sea cannot be destroyed. So eventually he succumbs to the seas touch and lays to rest with his ship mates at its depths. They expect to someday be released from beneath but nobody knows if they ever were.
Now interpretationssss
I suppose I could see a boy and a girl trying to be seperated and destroyed by somebody else, but I would rather do something else. A person who has been alive for about 20 years but who has more life experience than most sees how many things conspire against us. This person sees how seperatly these things seem meaningless but combining them can have a disasterous effect. This person knows that eventually every person will face the underlying traps and holes dug to capture the innocent lives. This person has been warned of everything including his failure to navigate around the pitfalls and snares placed for him, but destiny isn't a thing to outrun. Giving up after being caught, the person hopes for him and everyone like him to be released. The underlying traps, holes, pitfalls and snares were placed by a powerful woman that he once knew and to punish him for something he did, she trapped him and everone like him, but he knows that one day he will be forgiven and released. By the last stanza, he is much older than in the first stanza but still has all the same regrets.
Now you try. what do you think? either analyze this one or pick a different song to analyze and sometime lemme see what you did.
